Last night I got the words I've been waiting for from someone and it's no big deal -- no tears, no worries, nothing, just a smile.
So today has been a great day --
I got up at 7:30, it was good to sleep past 6:30 for once this week. Then I got ready, sent an important email, and began my long drive back to Carrollton, little did I know how long it was going to be. So I started out, going my normal way to work, Old Norcross to Satellite to Beaver Ruin to Indian Trail to Jimmy Carter, at JCB I have started taking a new way -- an access road south that helps me not sit in traffic, so then I got on 285, man it was a lil crazy but once I got past 400 it wasn't that bad.
Decided to give RC a call and check some stuff out. Finally I got back to school, for PREP -- it's a program where 7th graders come to campus and we show them the University and try to encourage the students to go to college or tech school.
I had this kid in my group who told me he wanted to live in his basement and get high for the rest of his life and had no want to come to college unless, he could play football, I really hope something I said to him got through, cause I would hate for his life to be wasted in that way.
After we finished the tour of Watson and UTV, I went over to the Z for the frist time this semester, I was eating lunch with LA Cheri and Pete....but while I was waiting, the coolest thing happened, Kryislyn was checkin the time on my phone and she was like hey Jamie, Matt's calling you, so I answered and talked to him for a few and told him i was gettin ready to go eat in the Z, and he was like hey i've gotta run, call you back later, I thought that was a lil odd, but then like 5 mins later, he comes walking outta the Z and YAY, I got to see him, it was the coolest. Anyway, we chatted for a few and then he had to leave, but no worries cause I'm sure I'll hear from him later on....
Matt's totally awesome --
but I'm not going any futher with that till something else is cleared up --
Well, what else -- Lunch was really cool -- I met West Georgia's new SOCCER Coach, he was really nice and it was good to get to meet someone new -- I love meeting new people --
Keia, D, and me chilled for a lil while, silly boy, he thought I had an insider tellin me about spanish -- oh my gosh -- i'm going to be up studying all night, YIPPEE......NOT...........but I trust that I am going to do well and can't wait --
have a good one --
PS remember Amy Yates' family because these next few days will be very hard -- I thought about going to see her, but I don't think I could, I will be praying for her family --
